Plunder Dome

Rhode Island has been jokingly called "The corruptest state in the Union." The FBI set out to prove that. A trial that has been percolating for the last three years is just entering the endgame. The jury is currently deliberating on whether or not Mayor Vincent "Buddy" Cianci, the mayor of Providence for the last 25 years (minus a brief stint as a felon, when he was a radio talk show host) is guilty of taking bribes, or whether a series of men in his administration took bribes in his name, but without his knowledge.
