Warwick Photographer wins Guggenheim



The John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation recently announced its 2004 Fellowship winners. Among the 185 artists, scholars, and scientists selected from over 3200 applicants is Paola Ferrario a Warwick resident and photographer and Associate Professor of Art at Rhode Island College.

This is a very prestigious award with an average award of $37,000. The purpose of the fellowship is to further the development of scholars and artists by assisting them to engage in research in any field of knowledge and creation in any of the arts, under the freest possible conditions and irrespective of race, color, or creed.
